To the reader:

This project represents the culmination of hours, perhaps days . . . er, um, a whole semester of research on the topic of the feasibility of online voting.  We have come to a strong consensus within our group that online voting poses too many potential threats for the proper election of public officials and the maintenance of day-to-day governmental tasks.  Although it may seem like a good idea at first, after analyzing online voting, it is apparent that the potential security breaches outweigh any potential benefits from using an online voting system.

The issue of online voting has been highly discussed since last November's Presidential Election fiasco.  We chose to parody a CNET Review webpage to demonstrate the conflicting viewpoints of experts and the general public.  The product we reviewed was the fictional 'VoteOnline 1.0' by Macrosoft.   After a quick overview of the "product," user comments were provided as a combination of opinions from experts in the field of online voting, distinguishable by the title after their name, and other comments to demonstrate typical novice political viewpoints.  All expert opinions were taken from articles that were found on the subject.  Only the novice opinions were fabricated.  Every single detail on the Review Page has been altered to either promote our opinion of online voting, or to insult CNET, which historically has provided readers with one-sided, under-developed viewpoints.  Please read all the fine print, and enjoy.

Please enjoy this site, and don't take it too seriously.
