The second of the two close-up flower shots I took. I found these flowers in a small "jungle" that we were walking through on the big island. Maybe it was more like a rain forest than a jungle. There were tall bamboo shoots and two gigantic waterfalls, among other flora. I did not notice many animals, though. Unfortunately, the leaves surrounding the flowers were starting to die, and there is a fallen petal that is noticeable toward the bottom of the frame. But the black background contrasting the bright pink flowers makes this an incredible memory of my trip.
